Warehouse Associate (for our New York & South Carolina branches)
DUTIES: Will be responsible for various duties associated with picking, packing, shipping, receiving, inventory and replenishment as needed. This position requires associates to walk and stand for several hours at a time. Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs. Candidates should be efficient and reliable. Inventory Control knowledge preferred. Basic computer knowledge a plus.
Retail Counter Associate (for our New York branch)
DUTIES: Will be responsible for the sales and customer service at the retail store. Duties include stocking and selecting retail counter inventory, working with the warehouse associates on fulfillment of customer pickup orders, prepares and closes accounts for all monetary transactions, and handles various customer service related duties. Customer service or related experience and excellent communication. Basic computer knowledge required.
Product Manager (for our New York branch)
DUTIES: Will develop product selection for assigned pages in various media pieces (brochure, flyers, internet, etc), and develop initial sales estimates for the merchandise selected. In addition, will maintain brand, product/price and positioning for the supervisor. Qualified candidates should possess excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills. The ideal candidate should understand basic corporate marketing objectives and be able to meet strict deadlines. Knowledge of MS Word and Excel required.
Inventory Analyst (for our New York branch)
DUTIES: Will be primarily responsible for obtaining the most optimal purchase. Forecasting, reviewing cycles, evaluating prices and making purchases will be this individual's focus. Will maintain adequate stock, in each location, to fulfill customer's requirements. Minimizing inventory investment while maximizing fill rate will be this associate's goal. Should have excellent analytical and communication skills. Knowledge of MS Word and Excel preferred.
Customer Service Representative (for our New York & South Carolina branches)
DUTIES: Will process customer sales orders and assist customers with various problems while ensuring the highest level of customer service. Additionally, will up-sell and focus on customer relationship building. Will need to exercise proper judgment with orders. Qualified candidates should be organized, and possess excellent communication and sales skills. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Internet required.
Outside Sales (for our New York & South Carolina branches)
DUTIES: Will call on customers at their place of business. This person will represent Travers Tool in a professional manner using technical and personal selling techniques. This person will operate in a specific geographic region or in specific customer accounts as deemed by the sales manager. This candidate should have a proven track record of outside sales ability and have technical application experience. This candidate will also preferably have some inside sales experience. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Internet required.
