Pricing

Prices are in U.S. dollars and are in effect at the time of printing. While Travers strives to keep prices in effect thru the life of the catalog, unexpected price increases from our manufacturers may occur. Typographical errors and prices are subject to change without notice. Items will be invoiced at prices current at the time of shipment. Quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified. Minimum Order $25.00.

No Hassle Returns
Travers wants you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. We will replace, refund or issue credit on standard stock merchandise in unused condition. Returns must be pre-authorized and must be returned within 30 days of TraversÕ original ship date. Call our customer service department at 1-800-221-0270 to arrange your return authorization number. Be sure to include the original packing slip (or a copy) or invoice in the package. Shipping must be prepaid. We will not accept C.O.D. shipments. Any claims or discrepancies in the shipment must be made within 5 days of receipt of the merchandise.

The return of factory standard non-stock items may be subject to a 15% or greater restocking charge. Discontinued, liquidation, made to order and cut to length products are not returnable. Due to manufacturer's policy, all books and software that are opened cannot be returned. All credits and returned products are subject to inspection. Travers reserves the right to decline the return or credit of any product deemed misused or non-saleable.

Damages, Shortages And Claims
Should a UPS shipment arrive visibly damaged, REFUSE THE SHIPMENT and call us toll free at 1-800-221-0270 to request a replacement. We will immediately initiate a claim with the carrier and a new order for the damaged merchandise. Should you receive a UPS shipment with hidden damage, call 1-800-221-0270 to advise our office of the damages and we will assist you with your claim and enter a new order for the damaged merchandise if necessary. Keep ALL damaged goods, container and packaging until you are advised to dispose of them. All claims must be reported within 5 business days of receipt of merchandise.

Should a truck or motor freight shipment arrive visibly damaged, customer should REFUSE THE SHIPMENT & sign the delivery receipt 'package received damaged', as ALL VISIBLE DAMAGE MUST BE NOTED AT TIME OF RECEIPT. Should you receive a truck or motor freight shipment with hidden damage, the carrier must be notified within 24 hours of delivery. Keep ALL damaged goods, container and packaging for the carrier's inspection. For all shipments under a customer's collect carrier account, the customer must file the claim directly with the carrier. Call us at 1-800-221-0270 for assistance and/or to place a replacement order if required.

Fast Shipping
We provide same day shipping for all in-stock orders placed by 7:00 pm ET, sent within the continental US. We will send the orders via the fastest and most economical shipping method available. Same day shipping is not guaranteed for items not in stock, backorders, replacement orders, new account (first orders) or orders under review by our credit department. Travers is not responsible for shipping or delivery delays caused by the carrier, computer interruptions or acts of God. In no event shall Travers be liable for damages of any kind as a result of delays in delivery. A purchaserÕs sole remedy shall be to return merchandise delivered late for a full refund.

Should your order require shipping from multiple warehouses or need to be backordered, there are no delivery charges on the backorders or split shipments under 5 lbs..

FREE Shipping
"Free Shipping" applies to select items that are marked as so within the catalog. "Free Shipping" means standard ground (small-parcel or truck) shipment to a location within the continental U.S. only. Liftgate services require an additional $55 charge. Other non-standard services will also incur a charge.

Limited Warranty
Travers Tool Co., Inc. warrants that for a period of 30 days from the date of shipping, merchandise shall be free from defects in materials & workmanship under normal use provided such merchandise is correctly installed and maintained. This warranty does not apply to products that have been subject to misuse, abuse, neglect, improper storage, handling or maintenance. The customerÕs exclusive remedy for breach of this warranty is the replacement by Travers Tool Co., Inc. of any defective merchandise returned to Travers Tool Co., Inc. within the 30-day period. In no event shall Travers Tool Co., Inc. be liable for any incidental or consequential damages or for loss of profits or for any other damages not withstanding that Travers Tool Co., Inc. may have been advised that such damage may be likely to occur. The foregoing is the Travers Tool Co., Inc.'s exclusive warranty and is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for any purpose. Travers Tool Co., Inc. shall not be liable to customer on any claim of negligence or for any manufacturerÕs strict liability on any merchandise. Information provided by a Travers Tool Co., Inc. employee, outside salesperson or other representative is subject to this limited warranty. No one is authorized to change the foregoing provisions or assume any obligations or liabilities for Travers Tool Co., Inc.

Explanatory notes: All states that have regular 3 days or longer ground delivery for packages 20 lbs. or less will be shipped Blue Upgrade. For packages over 20 lbs. and under 50 lbs., only states where there is 4-day delivery via ground will be turned to 3-day Select. All packages more than 50 lbs. will be shipped ground. Upgrades only apply to orders shipped within the continental US. Upgrades do not apply to truck shipped items, hazardous items and any other items requiring special handling.

Terms & Conditions (Canadian Orders)

1. Payment

Travers Tool Co., Inc. accepts approved Net 30-day open account orders, most major credit cards, and company checks. Payments must be made in Canadian dollars. Returned checks will be subject to additional bank fees. Past due invoices may be subject to a finance charge.

With an acceptable Dun & Bradstreet rating, an open account can be established the day you place your first order. Alternatively, Travers may request three trade references and one bank reference (including account number, telephone number and contact officer at the bank).

Travers requires a minimum order of $100 CAN.

2. Pricing
Prices are in Canadian dollars and are effective at the time of printing. While Travers strives to keep prices effective for the life of the catalog, prices and quotes are subject to change without notice, due to unexpected manufacturer price changes, changes in commodity markets, or errors occurring in the production of this catalog. Quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified.

3. Product Information/Catalog Production
All information in the catalog has been checked carefully for accuracy. However, due to continuing improvements and changes in product lines, errors in photography, text, or pricing may occasionally occur and are subject to correction.

4. Delivery
Same-day shipping is provided for in-stock items ordered before 3:00 p.m. ET and for destinations within Canada. Same-day shipping is not guaranteed for items not in stock, back orders, replacement orders, new accounts (first orders), or orders that require review by our credit department. Travers is not responsible for shipping or delivery delays caused by the carrier, computer interruptions, or acts of God.

Travers provides one- to four-day delivery from the date of shipment, depending on weight and location. Orders weighing more than 150 lb. may require additional shipping time.

Hazardous materials whose shipment is subject to federal regulations and items that, due to size and weight, require shipping by Freight Carrier, F.O.B. shipping point must be handled differently and may require additional shipping time. Products considered hazardous for shipping can ship UPS Ground and may require special packaging, handling, or additional shipping charges.

Travers will ship by the most rapid and economical delivery method available, unless the customer requests a specific carrier. UPS is our preferred carrier. However, other shipping methods may be utilized. (Other carriers include: Federal Express, Airborne Express, DHL, Emery Worldwide, BAX Global, and others.)

5. Returns Policy
Every item is fully guaranteed. Travers has a 30-day return policy. Travers will replace, refund, or issue credit on standard stock merchandise in unused condition, subject to the following procedures.

Notification of return must be within 30 days of Travers' original ship date. The item must be in its original manufacturer's packaging. This packaging, including the inner packaging, cannot be defaced or damaged. The item cannot be engraved, etched, or altered in any way and must be returned in saleable condition. Returned items not meeting these conditions will be returned to the customer.

Returns or cancellations of special orders or nonstock items require special authorization and may be subject to restocking charges imposed by the manufacturer and/or Travers. Returns that are $500 or greater in value are subject to review prior to authorization. Some special orders, as well as books, computer software, and all orders that are cut to length or custom manufactured are not returnable. Sales of all discontinued and liquidation items are final.

Travers reserves the right to impose a 15% handling and restocking charge for any item returned. Return freight charges are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise authorized. Credit will be issued after Travers receives and inspects the returned merchandise.

For a no-hassle return:
  • Call 1-800-221-0270 during Travers business hours to advise us of your return. Please have your invoice number, order number and order date available when you call.
  • Travers will provide you with a Return Authorization Number. We will provide by mail an ARS label and/or access to this label electronically. Mark the outside of your package with the label.
  • Include our packing slip or invoice (or a copy) in the package.
  • Shipping charges must be prepaid. We will not accept C.O.D. shipments. Ship the package to our Quebec location: A. Travers Le Canada, 2915 Diab Street, St. Laurent, P.Q. H4S 1M1.
6. Damages, Shortages, and Claims
We take great care in filling, checking, and packing your order and make every effort to ensure your full satisfaction. Please check all merchandise carefully upon arrival. If there are any damages or shortages, call our customer service department within seven days to file a claim with the carrier and have us reship the merchandise. Claims for damages or shortages must be made within seven days of receipt of merchandise. Keep damaged goods, containers, and packaging in their shipped condition for inspection by the carrier until you are further advised. Credit will be issued after Travers receives and inspects the returned merchandise, and reshipped merchandise will be billed.

If shipped by motor freight carrier, have the carrier's agent note the damage or shortage on all receipts and freight bills. If you accept a damaged or short shipment from the delivering carrier's agent without their proper notation, you do so at your own risk, since shippers are not responsible for merchandise damaged or lost in a motor freight carrier shipment.

7. Backorders
When backorders are shipped, shipping and handling charges will apply.

8. Local Safety Standards and Regulations
Products sold by Travers Tool Co., Inc. are designed to meet stated U.S. safety standards and regulations. Since local safety standards, codes and regulations vary significantly, Travers cannot guarantee that products will meet all applicable requirements in each locality. Therefore, the customer assumes full responsibility for compliance with safety standards and regulations in the localities where the product will be shipped, sold and used.

Travers is not responsible for how the products are installed or used.

9. Limited Warranty
TRAVERS TOOL CO., INC. WARRANTS THAT FOR A PERIOD OF 30 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF SHIPPING, MERCHANDISE SHALL BE FREE FROM DEFECTS IN MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP UNDER NORMAL USE PROVIDED SUCH MERCHANDISE IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED AND MAINTAINED. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO PRODUCTS THAT HAVE BEEN SUBJECT TO MISUSE, ABUSE, NEGLECT, IMPROPER STORAGE, HANDLING OR MAiNTENANCE. SHELF LIFE PRODUCTS WILL BE WARRANTED FOR 6-12 MONTHS DEPENDING UPON THE PRODUCT.

THE CUSTOMER'S EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY IS THE REPLACEMENT BY TRAVERS TOOL CO., INC. OF ANY DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE RETURNED TO TRAVERS WITHIN THE 30-DAY PERIOD. IN NO EVENT SHALL TRAVERS TOOL CO., INC. BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS OR FOR ANY OTHER DAMAGES NOT WITHSTANDING THAT TRAVERS TOOL CO., INC. MAY HAVE BEEN ADVISED THAT SUCH DAMAGE MAY BE LIKELY TO OCCUR.

THE FOREGOING IS THE TRAVERS TOOL CO., INC.'S EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY AND IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR ANY PURPOSE. TRAVERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO CUSTOMER ON ANY CLAIM OF NEGLIGENCE OR FOR ANY MANUFACTURERÕS STRICT LIABILITY ON ANY MERCHANDISE. ALL INFORMATION PROVIDED BY A TRAVERS EMPLOYEE, OUTSIDE SALESPERSON, OR OTHER REPRESENTATIVE IS SUBJECT TO THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. NO ONE IS AUTHORIZED BY TRAVERS TO CHANGE THE FOREGOING PROVISIONS OR ASSUME ANY OBLIGATIONS OR LIABILITIES FOR TRAVERS TOOL CO., INC.

10. Terms
These terms and conditions shall constitute the entire agreement between Travers Tool Co., Inc., and the customer, and shall be governed by and construed according to the laws of the State of New York and the United States of America.
