British Standard Parallel Pipe Straight & Taper Taps from TTC Production. TTC presents a variety of bottoming taps for general purpose use in a variety of materials conforming to ANSI standards. TTC's BSPP & BSPT pipe taps have a tapered male and female thread and act as both the mechanical joint and the hydraulic seal. These taps produce threads that require sealant when joined to an external NPT threaded part. The overall tool length varies from 2-1/8 inches to 6 inches. Various models are available in thread size of 1/8�-28 to 3�-11 and come in a straight flute design with a pitch angle of 55-degree. The square shank is provided to fit well into tap wrenches. The high-speed steel tool material and grounded threads ensure superior performance at high speeds. The threads are formed in the right-hand (clockwise) cutting direction.
