This 5-piece/3-piece chuck stop set or chuck spacers from OTMT is your best option for machining below the jaw for 3 inches, 6 inches, or 8 inches diameter chucks. The Chuck Stop by OTMT is designed to locate shorter parts beyond the chuck jaws to provide clearance for facing operations. The Chuck Stop uses different height parallel bars to achieve the required spacing. A centering plug is used to keep the unit centered to the internal diameter of the chuck. Powerful magnets secure it to the face of the chuck. Paper-thin ±.002" (±0.05mm) parallel surfaces keep the parts where you need them.
