Awesome Drill Press!

Before the OTMT 17 drill press I had a 13 inch bench model that was simply underpowered for my needs. I looked at every floor model I could find under $750 (and some that were a little more). This press has the largest motor at 1.5 HP out of everything I looked at. It also has a MT3 taper that is much larger than the MT2 tapers everything else comes with. The drill press shipped via freight (free shipping) and arrived in perfect condition. The instructions leave something to be desired but there are about 6 parts to assemble, and there is always youtube. The press runs great, the table is huge, yet easy to raise and lower. The belt tensioner is a knob that you spin instead of a traditional lever system. The handle is all one piece so the individual levers will not spin loose. The drill has well over 4 inches of spindle stroke, and it has drilled through everything I have thrown at it without bogging down at all. This is the best value on the market right now and it is a lot of tool for the money. I am an engineer, I build furniture, and an avid all around DIY'er. This drill press is perfect for anyone looking for something with more power without breaking the bank. As stout as this thing is I doubt I will ever need to replace it
