Kurt HD690 Precision Machine Vise with Wide 9-inch Jaw Opening for Enhanced Performance. Kurt HD690 vise is the first-ever 6-inch pull-type machining vise that comes with a wide 9-inch opening between its jaws. The pull design enhances clamping accuracy on a large scale. The stationary jaw of the vise is wider and more stable, and its angle-lock design makes 80 percent less jaw deflection. It comes with four bolts, bolting from the top, to minimize the stress on the vise body so that the vise stays flat. The quick-change movable jaws efficiently assist the vise in holding odd-shaped workpieces. Kurt crafts the HD690-model precision machine vise with a narrower body. The small body width helps you mount more vises on the same work envelope if needed. Also, its taller body results in reduced deflection while clamping loads. The vise is designed such that each pound of clamping force exerts a half-pound of downward force. The plain-base vise provides you with a clamping force of up to 5,250 lbs., and you can directly mount this vise on 40mm, 50mm, and 2-inch standard-grid plates without any further modification. Also, this milling vise comes with a Groove Lock work stop and jaws. The Kurt HD690 precision machine vise uses sine keys, enabling easy alignment. Moreover, for additional flexibility, you can separately purchase the #D50-4-SA swivel base. You can employ this milling vise in various machining tasks, including hydraulic machining applications, and besides, you need not remove the vise body from the work table to clean it. Therefore, the use and maintenance of the vise are easy and less time-consuming.
