Spotting Drills
Spotting Drills are used to provide a starting hole for a traditional drill bit. Short flute lengths and overall lengths increase rigidity and strength while reducing drill wander. High Speed Steel spot drills have 90 degreeand 120 degree point angles and a narrow chisel edge for quick starts. Cobalt models have better tolerance than conventional HSS, while Solid Carbide NC Spotting Drills can be used at higher speeds and feeds for accurate spotting on NC/CNC machines.
