Insert styles normally contains an alphanumerical code that may represent an insert’s shape, relief angle, tolerance, how the insert is held and whether or not an insert has a Chipbreaker. Although turning and milling inserts are normally displayed in ANSI/ISO standards other inserts may utilize the manufacture’s nomenclature.
