Gain Excellent Surface Finishes with Scotch-Brite Roloc Surface Conditioning Discs. 3M's Scotch-Brite Roloc surface conditioning discs are the most durable and effective abrasive discs that deliver excellent performance in deburring, blending, cleaning, grinding, surface preparation, and finishing jobs. These superior-quality discs come with coarse, medium, very-fine, and super-fine-grade grits, and they are available in 1-1/2, 2, and 3 inches thickness variants. These surface conditioning discs are manufactured with aluminum oxide or silicon carbide abrasives, and they are color-coded according to their grit grades. The aluminum oxide variety offers a high cut rate and ensures long tool life. Whereas, the silicon carbide variety is meant for producing smooth finishes. 3M Scotch-Brite quick-change discs are to be fixed on the 3M Roloc TR attachment pad, and hence, you can easily replace the discs during multi-step machining jobs. This attachment system holds the discs firmly, making them effective even for heavy-duty applications. 3M offers an open-web design that constitutes non-woven fibers incorporated with abrasive minerals. The design prevents fiber clogging, loading, and heat build-up, and it provides consistent finishes on all metal types while extending the tool life. Since the discs run cool, they minimize the risk of the discoloration of finished parts. The Maximum speeds offered with different models are 18,000 RPM, 25,000 RPM, and 30,000 RPM. These surface conditioning discs are useful in industries such as aerospace, marine, metalworking, MRO, transportation and heavy equipment, defense, facilities management, etc. The applications in which you can employ the discs include metalworking, paint prep, coating and corrosion removal, and others. However, the discs are meant to be used for industrial and occupational purposes only.
